It’s finally here!
Welcome to my official website! I’m so happy that it is now officially active. The guys at Pad Creative did such a wonderful job with the design and implementation of the site – the only delays were my dreadful procrastination at choosing between wonderful ideas.
Life has been rather busy and wonderful since I last posted from the old blog. I was the officiant at the wedding of two of my closest friends, which was a nerve-racking but incredible experience. I felt so proud to stand there with two amazing people who were dedicating their lives to each other and be a part of that journey. I also played the flute at another wedding just two weeks later, of two other great friends who decided to get hitched. They wanted the theme from ‘Clue’ and a bunch of Star Wars music in the proceedings, and I was happy to oblige! Another fun weekend with a suitably-sized hangover as a result.
In my working life, I’ve been busy as a bee playing gigs with Coyote Love and auditioning for lots of film projects. I recently had a callback for the lead role in a zombie movie set in New York. The auditions were So. Much. Fun. It’s one of my long-held ambitions to be in a zombie film, ever since Shaun of the Dead rocked my world. I’d also be playing an NYPD cop, so I’d be homaging Hot Fuzz too (in my head, at least). All my Pegg/Frost/Wright fantasies, rolled into one film. In my fangirl Flow Chart of Steps to Stardom, this puts me several steps closer to actually being involved in a film with all three. I actually had to play out a few scenes with other actors in these auditions, so I got to run into a room holding a wooden prop for a gun and shouting “NYPD! Put the knife down!”. Awesome. I would love to get this one.
Enough from me for now – I’ll be back soon with more about the Coyote Love summer performance dates! You’ll have a million chances to catch us playing live all over the city, so make sure you check us out!
